This statement highlights the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) to narrowing the gap between urban and rural development through the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative and the Santuni MADANI Program. Through the selection of Kampung Nour Iman in Bintulu, various infrastructure projects have been successfully implemented to improve the quality of life for local residents. This initiative goes beyond physical development by focusing on empowering the community economy through the promotion of homestays and local handicrafts, ensuring that residents are active participants in the national tourism value chain leading up to Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
