CENTRALISED PLATFORM FOR EXPATRIATE SUPPORT LETTER APPLICATIONS FROM APPOINTED AGENCIES / REGULATORY BODIES

1 June 2023

Warm greetings from the MYXpats Centre!

We refer to the announcement made by YB Rafizi Ramli, Minister of Economy, via a media release dated 31 May 2023, regarding the Expatriate Employment Pass (EP) application process, which will be fully implemented through a Single Window system known as Xpats Gateway.

The Xpats Gateway, scheduled for official launch on 15 June 2023, represents the Government’s commitment to digitalising governance while ensuring Malaysia remains a business-friendly nation that supports its economic and investment goals.

Employers under the supervision of the following Approving Agencies/Regulatory Bodies can now apply for a Support Letter to proceed with expatriate recruitment through the Xpats Gateway. The Xpats Gateway can be accessed via ESD Online (esd.imi.gov.my).

Upon obtaining the letter from these agencies, employers may proceed with the application for a final decision by the Immigration Department of Malaysia via ESD Online (esd.imi.gov.my).
