MOTAC LAUNCHES “MESRA MALAYSIA” CAMPAIGN TO ELEVATE HOSPITALITY STANDARDS FOR VISIT MALAYSIA 2026

On February 11, 2026, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) launched the “Kempen Mesra Malaysia” at KL Sentral as a key national initiative for Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The campaign focuses on strengthening the culture of hospitality and service quality among frontline workers within the transport and tourism sectors. During the launch, strategic partners such as Malaysia Airports (MAHB) and Grab Malaysia were recognized for their commitment, with Grab also facilitating mobile promotions via campaign stickers on their e-hailing vehicles. By highlighting the friendly and helpful nature of Malaysians, the campaign aims to build a solid foundation to achieve the target of 47 million tourist arrivals by 2026.
