Transition from the Tourism Industry Licensing System (SPIP) to the Tourism Licensing And Enforcement System (TOURLIST)
  1. The deadline for all license applications at SPIP such as TOBTAB License, Tourism Training Institute, Tourist Guide, Tour Bus and Car Rental License (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) and Tourism Accommodation Premises Registration applications is 30 September 2022;
  2. All application data that has been successfully processed and approved through the SPIP System will be migrated to the TOURLIST System and approval checks can be made in the TOURLIST System. For applications that are not successful or not
  3. incompletely processed will not be migrated to the TOURLIST system, however, applications that are not completely processed can re-apply in the TOURLIST system and are eligible to apply for a refund of the processing fee that has been made in SPIP;
  4. The Tourism Licensing and Enforcement Division (BPPP), MOTAC will hold a Pre-TOURLIST Go-Live pilot activity on 27-30 October 2022 online which will also involve selected industry players to record and identify the smoothness and room for improvement of the TOURLIST System before Go-Live; and
  5. During the SPIP closure period, applicants can still submit applications manually at BPPP, MOTAC and State MOTAC Office counters by submitting a physical application form which can be found at www.motac.gov.my starting on 1 October 2022.
