What is the maximum allowable deduction limit?

Pursuant to paragraph 34(6)(k) of Act 53, the allowable tax deduction limits are as follows:

  1. Sponsorship of LOCAL arts, culture, and/or heritage programs/activities/events: Not exceeding RM1,000,000.
  2. Sponsorship of FOREIGN/OVERSEAS arts, culture, and/or heritage programs/activities/events: Not exceeding RM300,000.
  3. Note: The aggregate total for both sponsorships must not exceed RM1,000,000.
