This statement serves to inform regarding the decision by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) to postpone the 2026 National Arts Award (ASN) to a date to be announced later . This step is taken in line with the implementation of operational expenditure control directives to ensure public financial management is conducted prudently and efficiently . However, this postponement only affects the award ceremony itself and does not impact the ministry’s ongoing commitment and efforts to drive development programs, empower the arts industry, and preserve the nation’s cultural heritage.
