- As you all are aware, Tourism Malaysia will be organising the Tourism Malaysia Travel Mart 2019 today in conjunction with the MATTA Fair which will be held from 6 to 8 Sept 2019 at PWTC.
- The Tourism Malaysia Travel Mart 2019 program, which is based on the Business to Business (B2B) concept, will bring together product and hotel entrepreneurs from each state with potential buyers who are tourism entrepreneurs who are either involved or not involved in the MATTA Fair exhibition.
- This B2B session also acts as a platform for tourism operators to connect with product and hotel operators to find a variety of domestic and similar tourism packages under one roof. It is also seen as an “add on value” for those participating in the MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur exhibition. It is expected that 200 buyers and 101 sellers from all over the country will participate in this program.
- Tourism Malaysia Travel Mart Kuala Lumpur 2019 is a continuation of the Tourism Malaysia Travel Mart @KL 2019 program which was first held on 14 March 2019 at Hotel Seri Pacific, Kuala Lumpur. The program involved the participation of 65 buyers, namely 29 hotels and 36 tourism product operators. While a total of 200 buyers participated in this program and successfully obtained a total transaction/sales of RM332,440.00.
- Among the program contents and activities that have been planned for this program are:
- Presentation on Domestic Tourism Performance;
- Business to Business (B2B) sessions between product and hotel owners and travel agency operators;
- Sharing experiences with Tourism Industry Leaders;
- Forum sessions to provide opportunities for tourism industry players to interact directly with representatives of government and private departments or agencies; and
- Pocket performances with demonstrations of crafts, caricatures and Malaysian massage.
