- Malaysians who have valid travel documents can now enter and leave the country as usual and are allowed to travel to any country that has also opened its borders to foreign travellers.
- Foreign nationals with valid travel documents can also travel in and out of Malaysia without having to apply for the MyTravelPass which will be abolished. Instead, they only need to download and activate the MySejahtera application and complete the Pre-Departure Form via the Traveller function in MySejahtera.
- Individuals who have received complete vaccinations do not need to undergo any quarantine period and only need to undergo a COVID-19 RT-PCR detection test two days before departure and an RTK-Ag (professional) test within 24 hours of arrival. However, for other vaccination statuses such as not receiving vaccinations for medical reasons and not receiving any vaccinations, the procedures will be detailed by the Minister of Health; and
- For countries that are still closing their borders, citizens can still take advantage of the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) method that the Malaysian Government has agreed to with the countries involved.
