Matching Grant for Homestay Repairs and Matching Grant for Budget Hotel Repairs Under MOTAC for the Year 2022

APPLICANT Homestay operators registered with the Malaysian Homestay Experience Program Budget hotel operators who have been given Orchid grading 1, 2 and 3 under MOTAC
MATCHING GRANT VALUE Contribution ratio: 9:1 Maximum: RM15,000 or whichever is lower Contribution ratio: 7:3 Maximum: RM30,000 or whichever is lower
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  1. Homestay operators registered with MOTAC before or on 31 December 2021
  2. Have a record of tourist arrivals and total income from the Malaysia Homestay Experience Program and Kampungstay Program that has been submitted to MOTAC for the years 2018 – 2021
  3. Appoint local contractors who are registered with SSM
  4. Repair/maintenance applications for projects that are currently being implemented or have been completed will not be considered.
  1. Premises have been registered with MOTAC before or on 31 December 2021
  2. The premises have been given an Orchid grading under MOTAC and a Grading Certificate which is still valid after 1 January 2020.
  3. Premises that have expired Grading Certificates/have not obtained Grading Certificates can submit proof that the application has been submitted to MOTAC.
  4. The premises have a valid Accommodation Premises Business License from the Local Authority;
  5. Conditional Approval will be granted to premises that have not yet obtained a Grading Certificate. The premises must obtain a Grading Certificate before submitting a claim to MOTAC for payment.
