APPRECIATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CHANGES TO REDUCE BUREAUCRACY IN THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM, ARTS AND CULTURE

PUTRAJAYA, 23 July 2025 – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) remains committed to responding to the Government’s recommendations to implement changes to reduce bureaucratic red tape in line with the goals of the Public Service Reform Agenda 2024-2030.

This commitment was demonstrated through the awarding of a certificate of appreciation by the Chief Secretary to the Chief Secretary of MOTAC for successfully implementing a project under the Bureaucratic Reform (RKB) program which successfully shortened the period for issuing conditional approval letters for tourist vehicles in Sabah, Sarawak and W.P. Labuan from five days to one day.

This improvement facilitates the provision of tourist vehicles, especially during peak seasons, thereby increasing the operational efficiency of tourism companies. The success of this project reflects MOTAC’s dedication to improving service quality, productivity and national competitiveness, in line with the principles of MADANI Malaysia.
