This historic collection was repatriated from the Collection Centre Netherlands (CCNL) on 30 August 2025 and is currently under the temporary custodianship of the Department of National Heritage (JWN). Through the formalization of this MoU, the Penang State Government has agreed to house the collection and undertake conservation efforts in line with the principles of national heritage preservation.
