2. For the very first time, we have witnessed such authentic beauty of dance and how rich in culture it is. India is a very beautiful country and what makes it more special is its culture and heritage, and today, we have the honor to witness 10 different dances from India on one stage with some excellent talents.

Excellencies,
Ladies and gentlemen,

3. Malaysia and the Republic of India have shared long existing ties, bound by friendship and rich histories. In enhancing rapport to gain a better understanding of cultures between both the Republic of India and Malaysia, this evening's programme will undoubtedly serve as a connecting bridge for both nations.

4. As we all know in Malaysia, culture and heritage have been identified as our unique tourism products to be further developed in our quest to attract more tourists to Malaysia. Our cultural vibrancy is clearly manifested in our iconic 'Malaysia: Truly Asia' brand. It encapsulates our cultural and heritage diversity, which is showcased by our multi-ethnic population living in peace and harmony.

The festival will be showcasing the unique facade of Malaysia and will highlight the country's multi ethnic festivals, culture, traditional heritage, lively city vibes, tantalising delicacies and many more.

Ladies and gentlemen,

6. I was told that we will be taken on a journey throughout India this evening, in the form of dances and performances of her different states. Such cultural showmanship that we are proud to say that our Malaysian's could perform as per the grass roots of where the dance has came from.

7. Just seating through half of the event has shown of how intensive the crew would have arranged for this, and given us a wonderful program for us to sit back, relax and enjoy this evening.

8. There is no doubt, this cultural programmes will create awareness and the importance of understanding the distinctive culture of the Republic of India as culture has been recognised as the essence of life regardless of borders.

9. I also strongly believe that the forthcoming performances by the team will give great opportunity to have a closer insight on the culture aspiration of India as well as sealing Malaysia's mark in the world's map particularly among tourists from India.
