Tourism Ministry Extends Condolences And Sympathies

PUTRAJAYA, 6 March - The Ministry of Tourism wishes to extend its condolences over the death of two Indian tourists in an accident involving the express bus they were travelling in at Km4.5 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway near here on Monday.

The Ministry also wishes to express its sympathies to the 20 other victims and their families, and will work within its capacity with the relevant authorities to facilitate the arrangements that need to be made.

Towards this end, the Ministry's officers had visited all of the 20 victims admitted respectively to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (11 victims) and Hospital Selayang (9 victims).

They also met up with officials from the High Commission of India in Malaysia; representatives from TLM Leisure & Convention, who handled the group in Malaysia; as well as representatives from D.Paul Travel & Tours from New Delhi, who arrived in Kuala Lumpur this morning.
